Listen to From the Hose : Love is in the Air
First off, let me be clear that this NOT actually a regular episode of type 2. Instead, you have a “mix tape” to make your subscription bountiful in the absence of a new episode. I did this once before, back in the fall of 2011 for Thanksgiving, and apparently haven’t had the time for another installment since. That said, I’ll give you the loose premise as to what’s contained within. I’m calling this a Valentine’s Day mix, hence the “Love is in the Air” title. Yet there are no romantic lyrics, soulful beats, or other traditional staples of a VDay playlist. But if you’re reading this, you probably don’t want that anyway. What you do want is just over 90 minutes of face melting jams that will slip away into the distance as you occupy your time with that someone special. Hope this kicks up your date night a few extra notches, and if it does, please leave a comment below.
Thanks for listening,
Steve

Great comfort last night as I sat at my desk at work – thanks!

LOL, started streaming from Stitcher on Sonos so I didn’t have the luxury of an introduction. Kept waiting for the jam to fade and commentary. Kept going. Didn’t know what was happening. Came here to find out. 30 minutes in and I’m not going to even hazard a guess.

ha… that happened once before. @Danmar85 made that mistake when i did the turkeymixer. Def separates who subscribes vs website people.

Killer comp – hose-y as all get out. Can’t wait to see the tracklist – I remember thinking that everything sounded like 1998-2000′ish but I could be most wrong. Thanks for the service you provide!

the complete tracklist will be out before the end of the week. PROMISE

this is my first time listening to this pod cast and its a rager. Not sure of your usual format but do THIS more often. Totally reminds me of the 10 phunky phall 97 disks put together so long ago.
But, this all seems to be 3.0 stuff, no? I thought is started w/ 7-below, then twist, then my meetings started and I lost track.
Keep up the good work!

thanks man. I will try to do this more often. But 99% of the time, we TALK about phish. Just happen to have no episodes scheduled this week

Great podcast Steven! I really enjoyed the trip down memory lane with 2.0. I feel like 2.0 deserves more love. That whole era gets overlooked because of some sloppy compositional play and the mess of Vegas and the final leg of shows. Just general inconsistency really. The first leg of Summer 04 had some great playing at SPAC and Deer Creek. Summer 03 had some really strong moments too. But again, inconsistencies arise with the generally lackluster shows on anniversary run and holiday run of 03.
Great podcast though man.

The Ghost from IT is still my favorite ghost ever. Spring/summer 03 was awesome!
